Weather & Safety Disclaimer

WeatherPerch is a weather-information and decision-support tool. It is not an official emergency warning system.

Official warnings always come first

If any content on WeatherPerch — a forecast, an activity score, a hazard page, a recommendation, or a report — ever conflicts with an official warning, watch, or advisory from your national or local meteorological, civil protection, or emergency management authority, the official warning controls. In an emergency, follow official channels and local authorities, not this website.

Forecasts and hazard data are estimates

Weather forecasts, air quality index values, marine conditions, activity-risk scores, and hazard tracker data (storms, earthquakes, tsunami, volcano, flight-delay risk) are derived from third-party sources and automated calculations. They can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Do not use WeatherPerch as your sole source for decisions involving risk to life, health, or property.

Activity-specific risks

Guidance related to outdoor activities — hiking, cycling, running, beach/water activities, gardening, driving, or similar — reflects general weather-based thresholds, not a personalized safety assessment of you, your equipment, your skill level, or the specific location's terrain/water conditions. Severe-weather content (tornado, heatwave, snow storm, hazards, flight-delay risk) is explicitly a risk indicator, not a prediction that an event will or will not occur, and not a substitute for a professional or official assessment where one is available (e.g. a pilot's own weather briefing, a lifeguard's water conditions call, a park ranger's trail status).

No liability

To the extent permitted by law, WeatherPerch is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from reliance on this site's forecasts, scores, alerts, or other content. See our Terms of Use for the full liability terms.
